Family connection
« on: Wednesday 16 December 20 02:34 GMT (UK) »
Hello all, My gr grandmother Elizabeth McQuade married, 2nd time, Benjamin Rothwell in Killucan Ireland. Two sons Benjamin and William were born. Benjamin went to the USA and I am searching for him. He arrived at New York in 1880, married Jemima Goodwin and had 3 children. Elizabeth, Benjamin and Rinjie. By 1910 Benjamin is widowed and I am having difficulty following him and his family. I am hopeful that there may be some family to be found. Can anyone help please.

Jemima died in Feb. 1910.

Death: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:271F-8RH

This appears to be the death of Benjamin Sr. in 1916. He is listed as widowed and buried at St. Michael Cemetery, same as Jemima.

In 1910 their daughter Elizabeth is living Jemima's brother Robert  and his family.

Lose track of their daughter Elizabeth after 1910 census. Jemima's brother Robert died in 1912 and his wife Julia is listed as a widow in the 1920 census.

married Jemima Goodwin and had 3 children. Elizabeth, Benjamin and Rinjie.

According to birth records, Benjamin & Jemima had -

A son 30 Aug 1892. Assume that is Benjamin.

1892 birth: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2W96-SDP

A daughter  29 Sep 1893. Assume to be Elizabeth

1893 birth: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2W9G-GVY

A son 14 Dec 1901. He is listed as John Henry Rothwell. Assume he is the "Rinjie" listed in 1905 census.  Is "Rinjie" just a nickname, transcription error or some other mistake?

1901 birth: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2WW5-286
