The East Kent Mercury was established in 1865 and complete microfilm copy exists currently in Sandwich Library but returning to Deal Library in January 2011. It has always been a weekly edition.

Years ago a friend of the family used to post the East Kent Mercury to my father after they had read it.  It used to arrive each week folded up with string holding it together  .
