Hi all - I've taken a look at this again...

Emma BRUMPTON's birth certificate has parents Robert BRUMPTON and Hannah (also Ann) FLETCHER.

When Emma got married, it lists the bride's father as William BRUMPTON but her father died years before her wedding so I think her grandfather William BRUMPTON gave her away and the lovely people at FreeReg have added a comment.

When Caroline BRUMPTON got married, she has no father listed (bastard!) but Henry BRUMPTON's wedding lists David BRATLEY as groom's father.
