Carol and I did say 1870s for Margaret Elizabeth on that thread.  This one is probably of the same vintage. He looks in his 20s. Add - ME looks maybe mid 30s.

PS - I think I prefer this photo to the one on Wiki

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Frederick_Chavasse

Could this photo of him be on his graduation in 1876??

Thanks for your reply Gadget.  I had seen the Wiki photo - I am trying to get a decent copy from another cousin and his family contacts.  Meanwhile I have found another image of Margaret Elizabeth C and will post it shortly

PS Thanks also to waynenort for his restorations.
Tutton (of Shropshire and Cheshire)
Chavasse (of Oxfordshire and Staffordshire etc)
Hughes (of Scotland)
Ross (of Scotland)

Hello,

I'm getting in touch from Surgeons Hall Museums at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh regarding your photograph of Thomas Frederick Chavasse. As you may be aware, Chavasse was a Fellow of our College, and one of the meeting rooms at our new Birmingham office has just been named after him. We are trying to source a portrait of Chavasse to go in this space, and so wanted to request if you would allow us to produce a reproduction of your photograph?

Hello DASUCO  :)

Unfortunately Rogtut hasn't been on this site since 2019 so I'm not sure if he will see your message.

I've sent him a personal message drawing his attention to it. If he's not changed his e-mail, he should get it.
