Elizabeth Patricia (Trixie) Hill

Trixie was the youngest dau of my 2x great uncle Joseph Hill (1873-1947) and Jane (Jenny) Stewart Hill (1871-1957) born 17 Apr 1914, Belfast. She first married Norman Price Jones (1900-1970) in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire 8 Nov 1940. They must have separated because Trixie later married J S Erwin - believed to be Dr John Shirley Erwin (1899-1984) - but I haven't been able to find her in any NI sources. The last address I have for J S Erwin and Mrs E P Erwin was 107 Demesne Road, Holywood in 1984.

An obit for her elder sister Dorothy Blakeley Hill Lucy (1901-2005) shows Trixie as 'pre-deceased'.

Can anybody provide any further information on Trixie?

You probably already know that John Shirley Erwin died 21.1.1984 aged 84 & is buried in Dundonald Cemetary Belfast

Have you checked whether there is a headstone and whether there is any mention of Trixie on it

Yes I knew that thanks. I’m not in NI and haven’t travelled to check for a headstone. A search of belfastcity.gov.uk for burials surname Erwin (plus Irwin, Jones and Hill just in case) 197x - 200x doesn’t bring up a match for Elizabeth Patricia (Trixie). I’m stumped!

Thanks. I have the death info for Joseph Hill. Thanks also for pointing me to proof of Trixie’s correct DOB. I opted to believe 17 April taken from a relation’s birthday book. Her 1939 Register entry had DOB 18 April, so guess I should have believed that. I’d really like to know when Trixie married JS Erwin - assuming she really did - and what happened to her after his death.
