Florence Collett born c1885

Florence married Ernest Howald in Bristol in 1903.
Her birthplace was given as Bradford on Avon c 1885 on census in 1911 but I can find no birth records.
Can anyone help please?

I think the way forward is to purchase a copy of the marriage certificate.  This should give her father's name and determine if COLLETT was her maiden name or if she had been previously married.

Looks like she is illegitimate daughter of Ellen Collett.

Not necessarily Ellen’s. The Colletts had older daughters.

I am doing this research on behalf of my cousin's wife who is the granddaughter of Florence and have obviously suggested a marriage certificate is wanted.However there are Smale/Collett connections which are odd.
In the 1911 census George Collett-Grandfather and Nellie Smale aged 21 -Sister in Law are with the family.
Presuming Nellie was Ellen I hoped to have found her in Lyncombe ,Bath with her parents and siblings as Ellen H Smale aged 11 born Bath.

Her parents were Thomas Smale born Devon and his wife Mary M Smale born BRADFORD!

This obviously seemed to give a Collett connection and sure enough Thomas married Mary Maria Collett aged 24 on 7/11/1887 IN Lyncombe with her father given as George Henry Collett Bootmaker.
Ellen could be Florence’s mother it seems.
