When you say they've been searched, to what extent? New Deer has a churchyard & also a cemetery. There are also graves around the Church of Scotland church in Old Deer but the cemetery is located in Stuartfield. Have you visited the sites & looked for a headstone? There may not be one. Not everyone could afford one. Fetterangus & Savoch churchyards are not too far away, likewise Strichen. Have you searched on Desceased online?
