BWH is interesting It appears his family did not know where he went and what he was doing as evidenced by the 2 line entry 1864 by the solicitor about his father's estate (he died 1856)
I am not yet convinced that BWH is George Dawson, although BWH was around for at least 11 years suggesting he might be George Howe
BWH appears on both George and Frank birth certificates
Think the interesting birth record is Mary Fear Dawson - would like to see that certificate and what does Emily Jane Dawson birth record say
Beginning to think that Mary Fear may be married to George Dawson but BWH was on the side-line and Mary had children (George and Frank) with BWH but the children and Mary lived in the house with George Dawson and maybe it wasn't until George Dawson died that George and Frank took the Howe name as young adults getting married, although that doesn't account for birth record of George Howe and the birth record of Frank Dawson - although I haven't confirmed which birth record is Frank His 1911 census says he was born in Churchbridge, there is a Q2 1866 record Penkridge for Frank Dawson
The two men theory might also be validated by 1861 census George Dawson "messenger" and 1855 birth certificate of George Howe in Nantwich - BWH "railway pointsman" George Howe 1880 marriage says father George Howe (clerk) which is even more confusing
So where was BWH living and where does he appear in 1861 1871 and maybe 1881 census
