Born in 1878.Son of James Paul Smith-Steinmetz,Fernwoodlea ,Fife.Educated at Stonyhurst College,Lancashire.He married Dorothy Mary MacCabe.He died in 1936 at Wing's Cottage,Kemerton.

His issue:-


i)Andrew John Bruce Gerard-Smith (1924-1945).

ii) Helen Gerard-Smith(1925-1950).

iii) Ronald Gerard-Smith(?-1992) married Elizabeth ?.

iv) Margaret Gerard-Smith.
