« on: Thursday 05 November 20 02:01 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I am doing a write up for Remembrance Day. This post card was sent from my grandmother to my grandfather. I am having difficulty deciphering  her handwriting.
My grandfathers name was Les and her’s was Florence. She signed this Florrie/ Flo which she was known by.
Thank you for hep you can provide.

I don’t see this as a love letter, more of fondness perhaps, though he has sent 35 letters so he seems keen.  ;)

...down to try
and find...

ADDED:

Maybe:  ...find the lot...

As in a piece of land for sale?

I wonder if that word starting with l might be “last” - scribbled a bit so she missed out the s. She is talking about the letters so maybe referring to the last letter she tried to find. Unsure if that makes sense.

I read - I have been down to try and find the hat  ;D but no success .
Looking at the "h" of had and have earlier on the card could that first letter be an "h"?
And could Les or Florrie have lost a hat !  ;D

Looby  :)
