Hi, I'm Justine's dad. I'm answering because the questions are too technical for Justine The IDPF is Lamar's personal death record (circumstances, burial sites, list of personal effects...). We have learned that Lamar died of shell wounds to the head.Normally, items left on graves are collected by the cemetery steward and stored in the soldier's personnel file by the cemetery's ABMC. Each time the cemetery is visited, one can ask to see the file and the objects. This summer I will leave Lamar's IDPF with the cemetery steward.Cyrille and Justine
