Thank you for your trouble.

We have only had a problem finding the death of my great-grandfather Edmond - alive in 1901, it would appear still alive when my grandfather James got married in 1909 but dead by the time of the 1911 census. I have no idea of the date of Edmond's death and that is something I have been trying to track down for a long, long time. Any assistance with that would be very helpful indeed.

Again thank you for your interest.

Are there any grave/cemetery details?
Perhaps the church may still have records  :-\

There may well be grave details listed at the local church but in all honesty the Ballyporeen parish priest wasn't particularly helpful in that regard in the past. I wondered if anybody knew if burial records for that area might be available online?

I was thinking you might have details of the whereabouts of a family grave.
Is there a local Facebook site where someone might have local ideas?

My grandfather James is buried in the graveyard of the parish church, Church of the Assumption in Ballyporeen. The only names on the headstone are James Barry, my grandmother and an uncle and an aunt. I do not know whether my great-grandfather Edmond and great-grandmother Johanna are buried in the same plot but I doubt it otherwise my father would have mentioned it I think.

I'm afraid I don't do Facebook, it's a strange inquisitive beast best avoided. But I'd still like to find out when Edmond died and where he is buried.
