Hi Rosie, I did a bit of googling on the tiles the other day and found some information here...

Even with this knowledge I am still no closer to finding Carol's mystery house  ::)
Still looking  ;D

Wow!...How many different types of tiles? I have been looking on and off, between packing 30 years of accumulated clutter as we have sold the house and bought a bungalow, but...3 into 2 won't go  ::)
Onwards and upwards  ;D
Anyone want a Treadle Singer sewing machine, serial number 1906, currently being used as a telephone table  ;D

Carol, I love those old Singer treadle sewing machines.  I was offered one by a friend years ago but I didn't have the room for it (still don't).  Good luck with the house move, I know it can be stressful.

We will understand if you "go missing" for a while, I'm sure you are very busy.  :)

Thank you Jool, I see what you mean  :)

Carol it is good to hear that you have sold your house,  it is nice to have some sort of normality.  Hope all goes well with your move.

My mother replaced her treadle Singer with a newer model and always regretted it.

Thanks for posting, Happy memories  :)
We do become attached to these things don't we, I remember Mum's used to go really fast and always smoothly.  My 1970's machine (not Singer) although it had all sorts of attachments never ran as well as that old Singer.
