A correction:
Alan Lewis Tubby, of Kirkby Fleetham near Northallerton, Yorkshire was a Tail Gunner flying in the ROYAL NAVY in Fairey Swordfish and was not an Officer and Swordfish were only flown by the Royal Navy.
