Thank you Gadget, they are super, its really kind of everyone to go to all this trouble on my behalf and its much appreciated.

I noticed that piece of paper when the photos arrived here - I wondered if it was a sweetie wrapper, perhaps an attempt to keep little Mr Mischief quiet while the photos were taken :-)

he he, I thought you'd check that carefully - must have been later that his eyesight problem was diagnosed :-)

Thank you very much Trishanne, they are both super and I'm very grateful to you and everyone who gives of their time so willingly.

I'm going to have to do an awful lot of 'pay-forward' to balance all this help out, but I will do it:-)

There is really no need for any 'pay forward' balance. We all love restoring and colouring photos. In any case it keeps us going during lockdown. If you and anybody else can keep posting photos for us, it is us who will be indebted to you.

oh apologies, I really didn't mean you would expect it.
Over the years I have been looking into family history I have been very aware that we ALL rely on the kindness of strangers who have taken time to produce something - an answer to a query, improving a an old image, transcribing old registers etc and I can't ever pay them back (and they don't require me to).
So I have my own pay forward system, I do transcribing, help where I can in places like RC and happily share what I find with anyone who is interested in the same families.
It all adds to the whole and improves everyones chances of finding what they are looking for.
Its a personal thing, I don't expect others to do the same, but it keeps me happy to know I am adding to the pot of info.
:-)

Sorry this has taken a while but I've had to bob in and out. I don't do colour very often these days but hope it's OK for you.  I put a warming filter on it as they looked cold (like the weather in Newcastle today)

(tried to post but RC told me it was too big. I hope this is small enough)
