Henry family, Gateshead - an earlier photo

The wonderful help I had in the last day or so is very much appreciated and I am hoping that I haven't exhausted your patience :-)

This one appears to be an earlier photo of the same family showing the same children, if I am correct then the baby in this one is Albert, the boy who was seated in the other photo. He was born in 1885.

Would the experts agree with that date ?

and if anyone has the time/inclination to give the photo a wash n brush up I would be very grateful.

Definitely the same family, Boo, and there's John George in his position at the back 

It looks like mid-1880s - say 1885 +/- 3

Looking at the birth/deaths dates of all 9 children (including the wee ones who, sadly, were born and died too soon) I do think that its the same children as in the later photo, so the baby would have to be Albert.

Trishanne will be happy to know that this one is pre- John George wearing specs :-)

I just love the expression on the little boy's (James Arthur) face, bottom right. That's mischief just waiting to be let loose, good job his Dad is holding on to his shoulders  :-)
