I am a member of a MyFamily.com Admins Site (USA) which has over 1200 members, some in NZ, Aust, UK, Canada, Turkey and other places and I have told all of them to join RootsChat.com  ~~ Also, I have told all my members in my Alumni / Friends Site (a worldwide Site)  about it and asked everyone to join.

I also have three Genealogy 'Private' Sites in MyFamily.com and told all members to join, About 90 of them. So that should most certainly spread the good word.

How about that ?

Good work Admin.  Bill.

Someone here in RootsChat directed me to Genes Reunited for my Crowhurst line (thanks, has been very helpful!) and I have told everyone in there who has contacted me about my tree to try RootsChat ... some have since made major breakthroughs thanks to helpful chatters in here!

I have advised our local family history group, the Queensland Family History Society, of Rootschat.
You may wish to check out their two very positive responses by going to the following website:

www.qfhs.org.au

Once in the site go to "Happenings"
then down to "Snippets"
Firstly check out Item 28 in the May 2005 Snippets newsletter and then
Check Item 27 in the June 2005 newsletter

They were very impressed with the site and so they should be.

GREAT WORK !!!!!

Will be posting it at the Genealogy displays at the descendants reunion for the families of Red River Settlers in the fur trade era... August 2005.  The event is  to be held in Manitoba, Canada... It will attract people from all over Canada and the U.S. ...We even have a couple coming from the Netherlands!  Many of the original settlers were from Scotland...(many from the Orkneys), and England & Ireland as well.
Those at the reunion who want to go right back to u.K. / Irish roots will be thrilled to be armed with rootschat!

Here's the link, if I may tout the event....http://www.redriverdescendantsreunion.org/

I have also added a link to rootschat onto the website above, on the Genealogy page!!!! It's a popular site, so if you want to post a welcome to Red River Descendants...I am sure many will come in following my link.... It deserves the popularity

Andrew,

You've done a storming job with papers  ;D ;D ;D

If anyone wants new fancy pants colourful flyers/posters, Paul E has kindly provided....

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,71077.0.html

The originals are here...

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,1263.0.html

If you are going to a library or records office ask if you can leave one on a notice board or a pile if they have a leaflet stand/table.

All the best,
Pam

I'll see about putting one on the company Intranet, one of the largest in the UK.

If they let me, they don't like commercial things going on, but this isn't commercial.

it's a very large company all over the UK
