I am wondering if the man on the extreme left is Thomas Baker's father, who was a police constable.

Mistaken identity! The wrong Thomas Baker

Certainly looks that way ShaunJ but all the Research I have for Thomas Baker born Thomas William Baker to a William and Mary Ann Baker nee Naylor of 4 Oak Street Wavertree but CWGC site and Pension Card Say Mary Elizabeth Baker of 4 Oak Street Wavertree.

His Father William Baker on all Census Records is shown as a Paper Hanger/ Painter not Policeman

Am I following the wrong Family Tree and perhaps you have discovered another correct one ?

Any advice welcome.

Maybe it's me that has the wrong Thomas Baker. There are two in the KLR on the Military Medal Roll.

The one whose father was a policeman is 2275 Thomas Baker whose home was at 36 Irvine Street, Edge Hill. His father was Frederick. The MM was awarded 27.10.16.

The other one is 25340 Thomas Baker. He is the one that was killed in 1918. Mother Mary Elizabeth. MM awarded June 1917.

Thanks ShaunJ
I am researching the Life of 25340 of the Liverpoolpals their Roll of Honour has little on his Life which I am trying to fill in as their Researcher.
Strange he never told the Army his full Christian names of Thomas William Baker and Pension card shows Mother as Mary Elizabeth not Mary Ann Naylor who married William Baker paper hanger of 4 Oak Street died there 1922

But otherwise I think I have the right Family except one Ancestry Tree has his Brother George Edward Baker 32180  in the Pals at Knowsley but the Medal Card they have for him shows South Lancs then Somerset Light Infantry.

This claims to be Brother in Pals at Knowsley but the Website has no record of such a person in the Pals.

Applied to have the photo cleaned up to see if King's Badge visible but Admin deleted it and I wasn't told why so I don't infringe again.
