Mrs. Emma R. Wooten Mrs. Emma R. Wooten, 67, who was a Spokane resident 35 years ago, died yesterday in a hospital at St. Paul, Minn., according to word received by Spokane friends. Mrs. Wooten was a member of St. Ann's Catholic church, and formerly operated a home here for children. She went to St. Paul seven months ago. Survivors include a brother in San Francisco and eight brothers and sisters in the St. Paul area.

Here is Charles & Emma in 1930 census with a daughter Marie. Marie died in 1932. I'm guessing, after Marie's death is when Emma started operating a home for children.
