What a beautiful boy he is!  Cover that little face with kisses from Lizzy.   I love babies when they're fresh out of the oven!  (Don't want to know at all once they can walk and talk!)

Consider the kisses done. Any excuse!

Bit scared myself of the walking and talking bit. Like the fact that if I put him down at the moment he stays where I put him!

He still does look "fresh" even at 16 weeks. Still got that little bit of baby fuzz on the back of his head and he is still smaller than my brother was at birth!

Hi. we started out with our first daughter Samantha Jayne, next one was Selana Jo, should have been Selena, but with a surname Bacon !!!!!,  we improvised, the 3rd. was Sarah Jacqueline, [note[ all  S. J. , the 4th one we named Emma Victoria, Emma , don't know why the change, i suppose just to be different, Victoria is after the little hamlet in Yorks where i originated,  however we have a grandson, Samuel Joseph, so S J is back in again.

I would have named my sons after their grandfathers but Norman and Arthur seemed too cruel for kids of the 90's (no offence to any Normans or Arthurs out there).

Wotty.

My Dad is John Norman - always called Norman - and I absolutely refused to name my son Norman.  ;D  I dont much like John either - too boring & way overused.

Since my hubby is French, and his fathers names were Lionel Philippe, we ended up naming our little boy Jean-Philippe. (changed the John to Jean). But he's ALWAYS been known as J-P  ;D

A lovely French-Canadian Name.  Easy to pronounce and acceptable to all grandparents. :)   Except when an English speaker asks for Gene Philippa!!!  LOL

If we ever have a daughter she would be called Catherine Therese :)

I love Catherine with a C, and Therese is my MIL's middle name.

My son is named after his dad but i spelled it the irish way
his dad is Kieran my son is Ciaran, now for his second name, i named him after his dads dad shortened and made irish William =Liam and lastly his confirmation name is after my father James (not changing it to the irish though which is Seamus.)

so he is Ciaran Liam James. and his father and i never married and are no longer together so he has my maiden name as a surname now thats gonna be fun and games in the future for any family tree researcher. Im just going to have to make sure i write it all down.

My three girls are called Gayle Elizabeth (the Elizabeth after both her grandmothers), Erin and Robyn.

Erin & Robyn are twins and at the time we were convinced it would be 2 boys or a boy and a girl. We had chosen Erin and possibly Gareth or Gavin for a boy (or both for two boys) but couldn't decide on a second girl's name. We ploughed through every 'naming book' we could find but nothing really appealed. It's bad enough picking out one or two names but when you have to cover umpteen options, anyone with twins (or more) will tell you -  it's a bit of a nightmare.
It was almost 'D-day' and I happened to be watching a programme on TV about Fred Astaire whose wife was called Robyn . . . . and the rest is history.
This was 21 years ago and unlike now, there were'nt very many Erins or Robyns about then!!! You've probably guessed that we didn't even consider middle names!

Anne

God I hate Robyn.  :(   Its MY name!!!  And I'm well over 30 years old.   :)

I grew up being called Christopher Robin, Cock Robin, Robin Redbreast and Robin Hood - all boys spellings.

So when I left school I made a slight change. Now I am known as ROBYNNE!!!    Thats how I spell it for everything thats NOT legal. :)
Even trained my family to use this spelling too.

Did you know that with Robin being a girls name in USA, they are now naming their BOYS as Robyn??? ??? ??? ???

Its really weird to see the spelling and I usually have to ask is this a boy or a girl??

Simple, to spot the difference, the boys are  cock robins, the girls redbreast's. Bodger
