Ooooh Norah! Is Big Heathcliffe spoken for? Asks she old enough to be his Mother......Wuthering Heights is my most favorite novel after Jane Eyre. So it's a toss up between Heathcliffe and Edward.

I was going to call my daughter Davina, but then put a lot of names in a hat, and my little niece picked out two, Julie Ann, so that is what I named her much to her relief as she hates Davina, and I must say it wouldn't have suited her a bit.  Have you noticed how names either suit or don't suit people.  Some people look like a John or James, other's don't.   Can you imagine Grannies in their eighties being called Sky, Scarlette, or Tiger Lily?
What are these young parents thinking of.  I think the most unfortunate name I have come across in my research is John Thomas !  Now that speaks for itself.

As you have found out names from your ancestors ,
Would you now use one of these name s for your children now because they were in your tree ???

When we got married and had our children, I named the first one Leanne Marie, hubby named the second one, David John, but we couldn't agree on the third child, a girl, hubby liked Sarah Jane and I liked Sarah Louise, so we compromised and she is called Sarah Jane Louise.

I have found that all 3 names are in both sides of the family - being my side and hubby's. We didn't work it that way, just the way it worked out.
