Naming a dog does tend to put you off a name quite quickly doesn't it Erin?

I always liked the name Benjamin but then my brother in law called his mongrel Benji and whenever I heard the name all I could see was this scruffy long haired dog running at you with it's tongue hanging out

So that name was scrapped pretty soon after that

I am a nurse and I work with children. What drives me nuts is when parents make up names or cobble 2 names together, and then glare at me if a. I cant pronounce them and b. cant guess what sex their child is.
   Recently I got one called Riva, easy to pronounce but what sex? Then Tyree, any guesses?

I had one in a few weeks ago and its name was Jayden. Mum really glared at me when I said boy or girl! Its a boy, she said. "The names Jayden" as if it was instantly obvious. Also you get girls called Tyler and Shane and Tailor. How am I to know what they are?
