Wondering if anyone knows if St Michael's graveyard at Alvaston has been transcribed? Looking for the grave of Elizabeth Barron who died at Elvaston in Jan 1859 and is buried at Alvaston.
Thanks
Barbara

Hi
Records on FindMyPast
Buried 22 Jan 1859 at St Michael, Alvaston. Birth given as 1778
This is St Michael and All Angels Church in the Parish of Alvaston
GRO for the death is Q1 1859 Shardlow, 7b, 317
Hope this helps

You would imagine that it would be Derbyshire Family History Society who may hold M.I. transcriptions -- but checking their website M.I. transcriptions for Elvaston don't appear to be listed.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Thanks both, no doesn't look like they have been transcribed. I have her death record on findmypast but was hoping for her husband being on her stone too as I have lost him!
Thanks again

Hi Barbara
I have a copy of the MI's for St Michael and All Angels, Alvaston and sadly the Barron name is not included.
I have to assume at the time of the survey it was an un-marked grave. The survey was done in the late 1990's
Regards
Chris
