I am trying to find
Joseph Davies/Davis born or baptised in about 1836 in Tredegar, Monmouthshire
His parents are Jeptha Davies and Tabitha Marsden

They also had a Daughter Mary Davies in 1839

He is not listed with the family in 1841.

It looks as if Tabitha died in 1848 and Jeptha remarried a year later.
In 1851 Joseph, 15, is with his father and sister, Mary, and step mother in Mynyddyslwyn , Monmouthshire. His place of birth is given as  Bedwellty.

You might find it helpful to join the mongenes group if you haven't already done so. They have a searchable database, although I don't see any baptisms with father Jeptha. Maybe nonconformist?

I noticed that he was in the same area "Carpenters Yard" but a few names down the list so he is not actually listed with them as such.
