Hi all new to the group so only came across this today, MandieMac I was also in Mugdock childrens Home 77-79, I have recently asked Inverclyde/Strathclyde social work depts to furnish me with all records reports meetings ect they hold on me, however you are spot on this place seems to have melted like snow on a dyke.
If anyone knows MandieMac if they could inform her of my post....Thank You

Hi there I was a resident of Mugdock Bank Children's home. It was under Stirling District Council and that is where you should do a search in their archives. I went looking for it in Milngavie in the late 90's as I lived in Stirling then, I discovered that the original Manor type buildings had been demolished and a housing estate was built in the site, I know this is five years late but perhaps it helps.
