Please can anyone offer any information about this soldier's nationality, date and which army the uniform belongs to? Photo came with others from a possible Continental European source.
Sangorski in Poland/UK/USA
Pidgeon/Palmer/Etwell in London/Oxfordshire/Hants
Bolton/Dufton/Auton in Yorkshire
Costain(e)/Quayle/Cooil in Isle of Man

Not sure if it's British India Army.
He's wearing the crossed muskets of a marksman.
C. 1880's/90's.
Does the photo give a location ?
I've put a link to this on the Armed Forces board.

The collar badges look very much like the globe and laurel wreath of the Royal Marines (of forebears).

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

The 3 button cuff put me off British Army.
If he's wearing tropical dress uniform it might account for it.

The name Dadabhoy would indicate Indian/Pakistan location although a famous Indian branch moved
to Hong Kong.

India or Hong Kong would still make it a British Army uniform as opposed to Dutch or Portuguese.
Have to agree the collar dogs look RM.

Royal Marines do have 3 buttons on their sleeve and the epaulettes could have the RM badges.
