Looking for more McCulloch info from Glenwhirry, Co Antrim

Have managed so far to trace my McCulloch family tree back to Hugh and Agnes (Begg) McCulloch to their marriage date of Jan 4th, 1859 in Glenwhirry, Co Antrim. My direct ancestor was their son Samuel McCulloch who moved to Salcoats in Scotland and married Jane McMurtie.

I am struggling to find much more about Hugh's and Agnes except Hugh's father was William and Agnes father was James Begg. Is there any pointers or sites where I can search for more info like birth cerificates and a marriage certificate.

I see it was in the Presbyterian church, so I won't be much use to you I don't know about Presbyterian records.
There are other important points on the marriage though, Hugh's father is a farmer and Agnes' is I think a weaver, also the witness George McCullock may be a brother of Hugh, likely a close relative at least.
Registration of births and deaths only began in Ireland in 1864 and registration of non catholic marriages in 1845.
Hopefully someone with an knowledge of Presbyterian records will post soon.

Looking again I wonder if James Beggs is a mason.

Marriages usually take place in the bride's church but it may be that both the bride and groom belonged to the same one. Usually after a marriage the couple would have attended the groom's church. For example, if bride Presbyterian and groom Church of Ireland then marriage in Presbyterian Church then children baptised COI. There are, of course, exceptions to this.
The marriage record gives the surname as BEGGS not Begg, the groom's surname is McCullough and the witness is George McCullough.
Now, assuming for a moment that they were both Presbyterian and stayed in the same area they could either be buried at Glenwherry Presbyterian Church or in the local Parish (Church of Ireland) one.
I'm having trouble making out the name of the residence of bride and groom- looks something like G_galle_gh? and there's nothing beginning with G in Glenwherry Civil Parish so I'm wondering if it is Kinnegalliagh?

As Sinann says, civil registration of births started in 1864 so you'll need to search for baptismal records for any children born between 1859-1863.

I noticed the following marriage for a George McCullough and Mary Beaty that took place about 10 months before the McCullough-Beggs marriage, same church, same minister, same residence (Kinnegalliagh in Glenwhirry Civil Parish), and a Hugh McCullough was one of the witnesses, however the groom's father was recorded as Samuel (or Daniel?) McCullough, not William, so I don't know how he ties in:

The only McCullough in Kinnegalliagh in Griffith's Valuation was a George McCullagh (print date 1862).  The only McCullough in that townland in the 1901 Ireland census was James McCullagh, Kinnegalliagh was also his address when he married Ellen Jane Hamilton in 1870, however his father was recorded as Robert, so again, I don't know how he ties in, if at all, to Hugh (son of William) or George (son of Samuel/Daniel):

On the Beggs side, while there are a couple of them in Kinnegalliagh in Griffith's Valuation, I couldn't readily make a connection to James Beggs the mason.  The only I thing can offer up is that a couple called James Beggs and Sarah Elliot had a couple of children baptised in Ballyclug Church of Ireland parish - Andrew baptised on 27 August 1843 (born 1840) and Thomas baptised on the same day (born 1843) - the address was Cross (which is not far west of Kinnegalliagh in Ballyclug Civil Parish) and James' occupation was recorded as a mason.   

A 74 year old Sarah Beggs died in Cross in 1882, she was described as the 'Wife of James Beggs a Stonemason':

I think the following may be Andrew Beggs marrying a Rebecca Gaston in 1865, I'm reading the address as Whappstown (in Connor Civil Parish, again in the vicinity) and the marriage took place in the same church as the marriages for Hugh McCullough and George McCullough):

Were James Beggs and Sarah Elliot the parents of Agnes Beggs?  For now I really don't know.

Husband Hugh McCulloch died 29 Jan.1873 ‘Comber, Ireland’ but attached newspaper obituary is for a teacher named Hugh McCullough so date of death incorrect.

Thanks for this information and i think George born 1841 could have been a brother of Hugh as he was born in 1835? Although the McCullloch name is spelt differently?

It seems Hugh and Agnes both died in Scotland suggesting the family moved to Scotland after the birth of their last child in 1872.

I have found the death certificate for Agnes Ann McCulloch who died in Saltcoats on the 28th of Jan 1879 and lists her parents as James Beggs (Mason, journeyman) and mother Sarah Beggs (nee Elliot)

Couldnt find Hugh McCullochs death certificate but suggests he may also died in Salcoats in 1873 from other searches.
