Yes that is the birth i found................i didn't know that he was a Weaver.......it should be "Soldier" i guess.
The connection i have to this couple is that John Fletcher, born 4th Jan 1835 in Rodington, Salop would be a member of my direct line. We have hardly any information on this line of family.
I believe that this John Fletcher married Caroline Freeman Smith......Cinny22

So we really need to be looking for John Fletcher and where he went.  Who were his parents and where are they in 1841

See what you think...............

John Fletcher born 4th Jan 1835 in Rodington. Salop. His parents were John and Margaret Fletcher.
I believe just after this birth, John Fletcher (sen) dies.............don't know how, where or exactly when, but in 1842 Margaret re-marries. She goes onto having lots more children.

Her previous children who survive.......Mary Fletcher and John and possibly Joseph Fletcher all get "farmed" out. Mary is with her grandparents, John is with his relatives.......i believe the "Humphreys" and Joseph..........is unknown.
I don't think Margaret has much to do with them after this?? This is what i have found out.

Born 1835 and married 1848 would make him the minor not Caroline  :o

Can we have a go at finding the marriage address on census - Myer's Place?
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos
