Looking for paupers grave

Hi my 4 x great grandfather was Patrick Morris he died 27 Dec 1902 in a workhouse in Chester and was buried 31 Dec in a paupers grave could someone look to see they can find out which cemetery it is please

Where have you looked already yourself - to save any duplication of effort? And where did you get the information about a pauper's grave?

Where does your information about his date and place of burial come from.  Where was he living in 1901

Deceasedonline has a burial record for a Patrick Morris, buried 31 December 1902 in Cheshire. 

Could this be your man?  You will need to buy credits to get more details.

It is likely he was in the Chester Union Workhouse on Hoole Lane. If you go to Google Streetview and the junction of Hoole Lane and Housesteads Drive you can see the former Chapel. The Workhouse graveyard was in the grassed area. Being paupers, nobody had a gravestone.  In recognition of this, a commemorative gravestone was laid there. If you email me, I can send you a picture and an article about it. On Streetview you will see the curved brick wall and you can just make out the gravestone lain flat behind it. If he was in a different Workhouse, I am afraid I don't have any detail.

The 1901 census shows he was in the Hoole Workhouse.
