Well done Nanny Jan, you were correct to point me in the direction of Cheltenham Cemetery.
He was cremated on 22nd September 1961. His ashes were scattered in Garden 4, Position 541.
There was a bronze plaque but sadly it was removed in 1987.
The cemetery very kindly sent a plan of the cemetery and gardens.

He was cremated at Cheltenham Crematorium on 22nd September 1961 and his ashes scattered in
Garden 4, Position 541. A bronze plaque was erected butwas sadly removed in 1987.

His wife's ashes were also scattered in the same plot.
