I was trolling Papers Past looking for filler on family near Auckland and stumbled across a missing family who left Scotland mid 1800's. I have them travelling to Australia but never found any traces.

The 31 Jan 1936 Obit in the Otago Daily Times for Robert Muirhead is quite informative but now I am in search for records which I should be able to find from past experience.  But what I will need assistance with is East Taieri Cemetery Burials, specifically, Muirhead and Waddell pre 1936.

Catherine Waddell. Wife of Robert Muirhead d 12 Feb 1904.  Age 73
Robert Muirhead h of above 4 Sept 1907 age 77
Jane, 5th daughter 18 June 1908
James, 2nd son 19 Feb 1938
Also David Muirhead 30 Oct 1944 age 74
Also Isabella Muirhead 25 May 1946 age 82
Robert Waddell Muirhead 3 Oct 1966
Marion wife of David BOWIE 16 Aug 1943
Also David h of above 23 Nov 1950
Robert Muirhead 23 Jan 1936 age 76
His wife Elizabeth 29 Oct 1938 age 76
Catherine Evelyn Muirhead 1 Jan 1970 age 81
William Nicol Muirhead 6 Mar 1970 age 72.

This seems to be one large memorial with added parts.

You can do a cemetery search here - https://www.dunedin.govt.nz/services/cemeteries/cemeteries-search.  Most of the Dunedin Cemeteries have headstone photos.
