Rosie17..... Thank you very much for the info. I foolishly, hadn’t looked at familysearch! ::)

Sandra.... once again you’ve come up trumps! Don’t know how I can thank you enough!

So he died at Frank & Sarah Eastwoods home! How I wish I could go back in time and get answers to my many questions.

So appreciative of all your help... thank you!

Regarding the find a grave info and photo. I think there’s some mix up with information. My Frank Eastwood emigrated in 1921 not 1928 and to my knowledge was never in Gloucester or a cobbler/shoemaker(though I could be wrong). As yet, I haven’t found his military records.
Sadly, I don’t have a photograph of Frank so I can’t say if the image is him or not.

Sorry I ran out of time yesterday.

I have to agree with you I cannot  see any military ref in the UK to Frank Eastwood born 1888 Bury.

The Find A Grave reference is giving the wrong birth date 6 May 1893.

There is a passenger list showing a Frank Eastwood born 1904 and arriving 22/6/1928 on the Montrose.  Born Stafford -  Brother Mr G B Eastwood, 7 Watsons Green Road, Dudley.  C/O  C P R Col. Dev. Dept. Winnipeg Manitoba.

Even that doesn't make sense.

Apart from contacting the owner of the find a grave, the only thing I could suggest is that you put your own entry on with the obit and family info.

Hi Sandra,

Thank you again for the information you’ve provided.

I’m guessing Franks WW1 military records were destroyed (I know many were). What you have given me though is just amazing. I now know so much more about this mystery member of the family.

So very grateful.
