Hi,
just checked what is showing for 1851 and there is only one James Ledgerwood so far - but this is still not complete.
The on I found was married to Ann and 64 years old with an 8 year old son James.
Don't suppose you have an address we could check for you?

Hi cougar,
I know Martha Ledgerwood was living at 12 Bridge Head,Hammersmith from the 1861 Census.
Maybe the family was there in 1851/1841.

Hope I am right. and thanks for your help.

 Augusto.

Hi Cougar,
I was wondering do you have the Address of the James Ledgerwood 64,
                Wife: Ann,  Son: James 8
They maybe relevant to the rest of the Ledgerwoods I am researching from Hammersmith.
I also Know there was a brother Charles 40,with wife Mary 36,daug.Catherine 9 from the same area.
Also there was a brother John 42,with sons William 13 & James 11 and a nephew William Bryant 19.
They all then immigrated to Australia in 1853.
I hope this information helps with my initial request.

Kind regards,     Augusto from Australia.

Hi Augusto,
I am in SA, where are you?

1851
14 Hill St Woolwich
James Ledgerwood, head, mar. 64, pensioner from Royal Artillery born Scotland
Ann, wife, 50, mistress of house, Rotherhithe, Kent
James, son, 8 born Woolwich.

There are no, Charles/Johns showing so far.
As for William Bryant - there are about 18 to choose from - would need a bit more information.  Do you have any other details on him?
