On the 6th July I sync’d all our Trees into our Roots Magic software on our PC and backed up the Roots Magic files.
Our Ancestry membership then expired on the 8th.
We did not log in to Ancestry on either the 8th or 9th.
Sunday the 10th I clicked on the link, making sure the link was for the £89.99 worldwide membership for 12 months (one of the links is ONLY for 6 months membership).
The 12 months link worked and we are back up and running with Ancestry for another 12 months and a diary noted in 50 weeks time to uncheck Auto Renewal.
Checked that £89.99 had been charged to my Credit Card and it had so I am sort of a happy bunny.
I say sort of happy bunny because its my Wifes account yet I am paying for the subscription, I’ll have to figure out if it has been me who has been paying for years.
