Birth date given as 19 Sep 1886    to Joseph &  Ammida

Almost certainly!  His mother's name was actually Amanda, and the birthdate we have is September 20.  Thank you!
I tried searching on this site but came up blank - I'm new here, so I must have done something wrong.

I was hoping to find out anything about my great-uncle.  He and my grandfather were separated and never saw each other again.  They were British Home Children, and organizations connected to that group have nothing on him after he arrived in Canada.

I didn't realize that you don't hold records.  Sorry to have bothered you!

Did you check to see if he died in the UK before he left?
