Thomas Braydon widowed Constable to Mary Doolin which fits better with the surname on James' birth.

Both living in the townland of Knockanaragan(sic) (Baltinglass S.R.D.)

The church entry of Thomas and Mary Ann's marriage give his parents as Thomas and Mary Co. Cavan.

Also, if there are any RIC records you can find they would be really great too. They are listed as living at Crehelp, Dunlavin, Wicklow on Thomas' baptism certificate.

You can search on both Ancestry and FindMyPast under the database:
‘Ireland, Royal Irish Constabulary Service Records 1816-1922’ for a record of Thomas Breaden. Both of these sites are subscription-based.
