Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to access records of workhouses in Nottingham and Lincolnshire during the 1930s.
I am looking to see if there is a connection between two women who both gave birth to babies with the same father.
One is Dorothy Elizabeth Carroll (Anglo Irish) who gave birth to a baby boy John Michael in 1935 in Nottingham, and a lady called Ruth Williams to gave birth to a girl called Margaret in 1929 in Spilsby.
John and Margaret match as half siblings on ancestry and we know that they share a father. We also know that he was European Jewish based on their ethnicities.
Any information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
