Need help
« on: Saturday 06 June 20 21:47 BST (UK) »
How would you go about trying to find information about 2 people you believe went to america with just their names. One if them died out there before 1897. They have been mentioned in their mothers will but that's all I know.

Difficult to give advice or help without knowing more details. Can you give us more information? (please include all relevant details such as names, dates and places that you already know)

Added- anything to do with this earlier topic you started a few days ago?

Yes jane bloomer had children listed in her will in 1897. She mentioned a child James and George living here in cookstown, her niece Jane McGurk and another two sons Joseph and thomas. Joseph was in america the time if her death and thomas had died in america. I can get the baptismal record for thomas but nothing for joseph.

Dates or ages? What was the name of Jane Bloomer's husband?

It really is best to stick to one topic to avoid needless duplication and confusion.

Letters of Administration (with the Will) of the personal estate of Jane Bloomer late of Moveagh County Tyrone Widow who died 1 March 1897 were granted at Armagh to James Bloomer of Moveagh Farmer the Son.
Since Jane Bloomer was 73 when she died in 1897 she was born c1824 and it's quite likely that her children were born before the start of birth registration (1864).

Jane's husband was called robert. All I know is son Thomas was born 2/11/1854 and was in america when jane died in 1897. Son joseph also went to america and died there before Jane's death. I don't know any dates for joseph as I cant find any records for him at all. Thanks.

Thomas' baptism here-

You can search registers to get baptismal dates for other children which might help find them in U.S. records.
Have you considered that Joseph might have returned to Ireland to collect his inheritance and stayed in Ireland?

Can't find baptisms for other children or can't find Joseph returning to Ireland?
