Lambden and Burgess
« on: Thursday 04 June 20 02:12 BST (UK) »
Hi

I'm hoping someone here might be able to double check two christenings for me.

I am looking to confirm the christening dates and parents of the following:

Thomas Lambden who I believe was born about 1690/91 in either Hurstbourne Priors or St Mary Bourne

His parents may be George and Mary.

Mary Hearne christened about 1659 or 1660 I think.

Again this may be in Hurstbourne Priors or St Mary Bourne.

So far I've been able to find no other details out via FamilySearch. Can anyone else help?

Many Thanks

Matt

Have not been able to find baptisms, but have found some other info, which I guess you may already have. There is a Thomas Lambden buried 27/10/1751 St Mary Bourne. Mary Hearne married Timothy Burgs 24/5/1679 Hurstbourne Priors. There was a marriage in St Mary Bourne for a Robert Hearne to a Rose Upton 7/2/1697/8. There are other Lamden's in Kingsclere, which is not that far away, and so could be relatives-Edward and Anstice Lambden had twins John and Ann 3/1/1691/2. There are also some family trees on Ancestry, which may or not help as well.
Regards.

Hi there

I had forgotten I'd posted this.

I have the marriage of Mary Hearne and Timothy Burgess [Burgs] and I have Mary's christening.

I don't think I have a record of the marriage for Robert Hearne and Rose Upton that you mentioned so that's something for me to look into.

Many Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt,
I can't see any likely baptisms for Thomas. However, there is a baptism for Mary Hearn at Netheravon on 12 Feb 1660, father Nathanell. Although this place is in Wiltshire it is only about 18 miles distant from the area you have been looking at. Worth following up on I'd say.
