I'll give it ago, I don't know what it will be like underfoot as it lays in a bend of the River Derwent, I honestly thought the path and signs were a joke, I can't believe people went to church there

But I'll see

Geoff

Can't find any 'Scurrs' at Camerton, but a few are unreadable

For a church in the middle of nowhere it gets a good congregation

A few Scotts, no Scurrs

Thats cheating Geoff, its sunny there, wasn't today and youl'd have no chance if you fell in the river there (Derwent) 'cos it was quite full

Andrew

Not sure if you are still wanting people to contact you re searches, but if so can you help me.

I have a James Doyle born in 1829 in Whitehaven.  He married Ann but not sure of her maiden name.  He was a coalminer.

I have him in the 61, 71, 81 census living in Cleator.

I would really like to find him before 61, or his parents names would be great.

Thanks very much.  (PS I know what you mean about daytime telly)

I don't have as much time as I did, but I'll have a look no problem but it won't be immeadiate, I will look though, its suprising how looking for others has helped finding my own 'people'
