I’ve got there marriage line and wondered was it common to put where they’re where from after their name?
Yes, it was quite common.
looks like Robert Mcdonald from Westfield and then looks like it says Achakar after Ann? Dont know if anyone can work it out better than me.

On family search it shows a potentially birth date for Ann 1821.
Do not trust that. FS has this nasty tendency to assume that women were all aged 21 when they married. (And that men were aged 25).
I’m struggling to link them to a census in 1951. From records looks like he had a brother Robert born 1850. But no census search is bringing them all to the same place so I’m perplexed!
There's a family at Lythmore, Thurso in 1851 consisting of Robert Macdonald, 35, born Reay; wife Ann, 36, born Thurso; children William, 8; Donald, 5; Jane, 2; all born Halkirk; and Robert, under 1, born Thurso. (transcription at

That, assuming their ages are accurate, gives a DoB for Robert in 1815/1816 and for Ann in 1814/1815.
