well, there's an Osborne Cyril Thomas born Tenby who was a tailor

He died age 58 march qtr 1943 vol 11a pg 995 & was buried in Tenby 18 March 1943, note on burial record that he died 16 March in Swansea Hospital.

Possibly this birth reg, mentioned before, in registration district covering Tenby

Thank you Osprey, I did come across these records of Osborne Thomas too, been trying to work it out all day but as you’ve said, there is no marriage between Phyllis and Osborne.
Thank you for the links for Phyllis, will have a look into them now.

think that's the only way you'll know for sure. It could be that Osborne was present at the registration so that his name is on as father.

Phyllis seems to be living with her parents for the 1939 register. There's one closed record under Phyllis, probably the son born 1931.

Just an update! So, I received Ivy's Birth Certificate today and it states that Phyllis Mary Thomas (formerly Jones) and Osborne Thomas are her parents.
I still can't find a marriage for Phyllis and Osborne though, I assume they never did marry.
