Essex Newsman 27 Nov 1909
The Funeral of Mrs. Ellen Maria Monk, daughter of the late Mrs. E. Sides, of the Red Lion Hotel, and widow of Mr. Albert Monk, an old tradesmen of Billericay, took place on Saturday Great Burstead. Mrs. Monk passed away on Nov. 15.......... Darby, vicar of Billericay, conducted the funeral.

The mourners present were Mrs. Minnie Clark, sister Mr. Robert Parker, uncle; Mrs. Parker, aunt; Mr. James Barton, nephew : Mrs. Grace Cassingham, Mrs. Darby, Miss   Jennie Heard, and Mrs. Havis. Some beautiful floral tributes were received from Miss Tawke (Hockley), Mrs. Darby ...

So was Ellen's sister Mary Sides/Clarke at her funeral listed as Mrs Minnie Clark?

At Clerkenwell Sessions on Wednesday  Percy Clarke, described in the calander as a traveller, but until recently landlord of the Red Lion Hotel, Billericay, was indicated for having stolen a horse, gig and harness.  His defence said he was on a spree, was a man of means and it was unlikely he had any felonious intent.  He was found not guilty and released
