Very many thanks indeed for all the help you have given me which has helped to clear up the confusion. It appears that, unknown to me, Sadie's sister Isabella was in Canada before Sadie. Her sister Frances and mother,(another Isabella), went out to join her. Sadie's mother was Isabella Colville widow of William Kincaid and she used to travel between the three sisters across the U.S/Canada border. Still more info to find but this has helped enormously.
I had been looking in Canada but now find that most of them ended up in Florida (and why not!)
