Hi Rootschatters
I am up against the proverbial brick wall again. This time I'm looking for information about a cousin:
Margaret Drummond born 19 January 1920 at North Lambieletham, Parish of Cameron, Fife, second (Illegitmate) daughter of my late aunt 'Jen' (Janet) Lundie Pearson Drummond (1898-1972). The Register of Birth for Margaret does not show the name of her father, although I believe it may have been Michael Smith who aunt 'Jen' married on 24 Feb 1923 in Strathkinness, Fife and they had four sons and three daughters between August 1923 and December 1939.
On 25 December 1939, Margaret married Lewis John Adams, a Grenadier Guardsman, based at Hampton Park, Sudbury on Thames, at Lundie Cottage, Strathkinness, Fife. Lewis's parents were Alfred Robert George Adams, a Railwayman, and Kate Wallace. Although listed as "Lewis John Adams", he signed the Register as "J. L. Adams" (see image attached).
Christmas Day 1939 is when the trail runs dry!
Can anyone help fill in the rest of Margaret's life for me?
Stay home - stay safe
