Taking into account local dialect & the morphing of names there is a Toad Hole
just N.E. of Barthomley.
It still exists today but whether it's the same 17th. C hall I couldn't say.
If you look at this side-by-side map you can see it.

I was researching Steele ancestors at Toad / Taed Hall in Cheshire at Barthomley, Cheshire, England and ran across this chat which may ID Todes Hall.  In the chat room someone noted http://www.rootschat.com/links/01pe5/
as a map location.  I had independently concluded that, but I had an ancestor, Frederick Stone, who visited St Bertoline's at Barthomley 1897 and spoke with the Vicar.  Frederick's understanding was that Toad / Taed had been torn down the previous year.  He wrote about the hall saying it had been in the Steel family since 1300 and there was other information that seems suspect today (2024).  Nevertheless, he was on site 120 years ago talking with the Vicar, so???  The home in the map link is 0.85 miles northeast of the church.  Attached is a summary of Frederick's findings with minor edits by me.  My sense is this is lost to time.  Thanks
