Help with the Higgs family
« on: Monday 27 April 20 15:58 BST (UK) »
Could anyone please tell me when Charles Higgs (born c1857) and Sarah Murray (born c1854) also they had a daughter Ellen who was born in 1889. Unfortunately there were two Ellen Higgs's born during the same quarter in 1889 - who were the parents of these two Ellens ?

Can you give some info re birthplaces please?  Think some of the first line of your post is missing

There is no Marriage on freebmd between a Charles Higgs and a Sarah Murray

You can use the GRO website to check mmn for births

There is an 1891 entry for an Edward and Sarah Higgs both 19 - unmarried brother and sister.  A one year old Ellen Higgs b St Pancras is shown as niece to Edward who is head of household.  Sarah could be her mother which means Ellen was illegitimate

Get the 2 birth references from freebmd then use the link above to check for mmn.  One will have no mmn which is probably the 1891 entry

I have already excluded this one. Sarahs maiden name was Murray.
