Taylor family line in Cumberland
« on: Friday 24 April 20 22:16 BST (UK) »
Has anyone done any research on the Taylor line in England? I have some of my ancestors from that area. One of my ancestors is John Taylor born in 1607.
Some of my Taylor line is from England and some from Scotland and Ireland. I've researched as far back as the 8th/9th century. Hope to connect with anyone who is working on this family.
Let me know how we can connect.

Taylor is a very common name here in the UK and John is not exactly a forename that is different.

I have Taylors in different lines on my Families Tree.

If there is any relationship to your Branch could be a moot point.

Posting more information will help

You have done very well to get so far back

In my own tree I have Taylors in Lancashire but I have not followed their line back further than 150 years as the forename is common and there are to many Taylors given that name at the same time in the same area for me to ID a specific one.

In total I have six Taylors and they appear in three different lines and I have yet to find links.

My Sister in Law has Taylors in her direct line and again I cannot get to far back because identifying individuals out of all those options is difficult.

Good luck with your search.
