Search for Cwrt & Llangeinwen; "Cwrt" is not uncommon in Welsh for a dwelling, but rendered as"Quirt" by non-Welsh-speakers. It is, of course, a borrowing from English "court".

Looking in Welsh newspapers there are hundreds of articles mentioning Quirt , over 90 years.
