Charles Stuart arrived in Wellington on the Paparoa from London, 28 Dec 1903.
His occupation is farmer.

Is the date of his birth on the WW1 file incorrect?

Age 60 in 1953 = b 1883

That should be 'Age 60 in 1943 = b 1883'

That record is from 1940 (WW2) making out he was aged 49+ instead of his actual age of 56+.  The correct year of 1883 is on documents further on.

Charles' father William was a Head Constable so you may like to post the photo here to have it identified and dated.

Charles Stuart's brother, George, b 1881, may have also emigrated to New Zealand in 1909.
